TRFC
The Table Rock Freedom Center was birthed out of our Teen Challenge (TC) program in Branson West, MO. Unlike TC, our program is an independent, non-denominational, progressive center. Many have asked us to describe our program, but because of it’s diverse, dimensional purpose, our answer sounds something like this: “Our center is like a training center, a school, a church, a house of love, a church camp, a rehabilitation facility, and a discipleship program all in one.” All these descriptions work, but only when you put them together.

Our Philosophy
We believe that addiction to drugs/alcohol, and other life controlling issues stem from a much deeper problem. Instead of treating the addiction, which is just a symptom of the real issue we help our women to dig deep under the rubble of their lives and find the real culprits. At this point the cleanup begins and real healing and restoration can occur.

Program Length/ Students Age
Like TC, our program is a 12-month residential facility. We accept women who are 18 years and above. Our housemother graduated from the program in Dec.’07 at the age of 58. We believe it is never too late to become the woman God created you to be.
It has been our experience, that it takes 12 months minimum for a woman who qualifies for our program, to unlearn old destructive patterns of behavior and replace them with new, healthy ones. The process of permanent change takes time and a lot of hard work.

Does it all have a purpose?
Our program is very intensive and everything we do has a meaningful purpose. Even our camping trips, although they are a leisure activity, we are teaching problem solving, team work, maintaining a positive attitude in the face of adversity, obedience, trust building, and the freedom to make good choices. The women have the opportunity to experience a leisure activity without the need for alcohol or drugs in order to have the time of their life.

Special needs & Medications
We are aware that many women, who have chosen a life of substance abuse, have a diagnosable mental disorder and have been self-medicating. Many of our women have been diagnosed with ADD, ADHD, Anxiety and many types of Depressive disorders. It is not uncommon for these disorders to gradually disappear as the woman works her program, receives genuine love and accepts Jesus into her heart. Although, we understand some women have chemical imbalances in their brains that require medication (sometimes throughout their life) to function at an effective level. We accept women with these types of mild mental disorders however, the medications and doctors recommendations must be approved prior to enrollment. Mood altering and controlled substance medications are absolutely prohibited.

Program Cost
We know that women who qualify for our program have usually burned every bridge and have little to no financial means to afford a quality program such as ours. It is our desire to make it as inexpensive as possible for women to attend our program. Each woman who is accepted will be required to pay $500 per month for 12 months. Everything will be included in this minimal cost.

Since the cost per woman is estimated at $1000+ per month, our program depends on financial supplements from the generous donations of others, such as churches, individuals, and businesses.
